Join us tonight, at Pastor John & Glenda Nordstrom’s home (1300 W. Glover)
for our First Wednesday gathering! An impactful time of
prayer, praise & worship will begin at 7pm.
Please plan on arriving at our Sunday service a bit earlier this week!
Beginning at 9:30am, we will be celebrating Christ Community’s 44th Anniversary!
In the Upper Room, before service, we will have coffee, sweets and a time of fellowship honoring our founding Pastors; Pastor John Sr. & Phyllis Nordstrom, as well as Pastor John & Glenda Nordstrom.
Freezin’ for a Reezin’ has issued their 500lb. challenge again this year! Over 2,000 families in this area benefit from this food drive. We would love to come alongside other area churches, businesses and clubs and accept the challenge, as we have in previous years, but are putting a call out for help!
Would you, your family, your group of friends or your Small Group extend a helping hand, primarily on collection day: December 11th?
Would you be willing to make yourselves available that day to transport the collected food from the church to Handy Foods, and represent Christ Community Church at the festivities that evening?
If that sounds like something you would like to help with, please reply to this email and let us know!
PADS Shelter
As we move into the colder months, we want to be especially mindful of our local PADS shelter, and the wonderful work the volunteers do. At this time, (and often actually), they are in need of the following items:
Breakfast meats Coffee Sandwich bread
Chips Snack Crackers Breakfast bars
Fruit Snacks Jugs of Juice
If you are able to help provide some of these, please drop the items off at the PADS shelter (1120 Canal St.), or bring them to church where Judy Foster will collect them and deliver them to PADS. Thank you!
Saturday mornings bring a great way to start the weekend out right! Come to the Upper Room, from 7:30am-8:30am, where a Small Group focused on prayer has begun. Connect to the Source of Life, while connecting with each other!
Prayer Requests
During your prayer time, please continue to lift up Richarte and his family. Richarte, the Pastor in Tenancingo, Mexico, suffered a heart attack last week. His wife suffered a stroke about a month before. Please pray for healing, recovery, finances to cover medical expenses, peace and strength for them and their family.
Also, Paul & Amber Werner have landed safely in Bolivia! They will be traveling, with a group, to remote places of the country, bringing dental care, medical supplies and the good news of Jesus! Please pray for safety, wisdom, strength and open hearts of the people of Bolivia as well as the team. What a time of transformation for both people groups!
Fall Semester of Small Groups is in full swing!
Small groups have one, simple purpose: to bring people together. We believe God created us to live
in relationship with others and only then can we live the full life He intends for us.
