PADS Shelter Request
As we move into the colder months, we want to be especially mindful of our local PADS shelter, and the wonderful work the volunteers do.
At this time, (and often actually), they are in need of the following items:
Breakfast meats Coffee Sandwich bread
Chips Snack Crackers Breakfast bars
Fruit Snacks Jugs of Juice
If you are able to help provide some of these, please drop the items off at the PADS shelter (1120 Canal St.), or bring them to church, where Judy Foster will collect them and deliver them to PADS. Thank you!
In an effort to stay connected to the college students in our church body, Julie Distinhas put together a profile of each student, complete with hobbies/interests/likes and an address where each student can receive mail. If you are interested in staying in regular communication with one of our students, please email Julie today!
One of our Small Groups is a class on parenting. It meets each Tuesday evening at 7, and lasts one hour. If you are not currently in this class, serving the parents by caring for their children, in the Wee Care room? You could serve one week or several, from 6:40pm-8:20pm. Please let Phyllis Nordstrom know of your desire to minister to these families. This simple act will help change lives! There are 2 more weeks. May God bless you!
Saturday mornings bring a great way to start the weekend out right! Come to the Upper Room, from 7:30am-8:30am, where a Small Group focused on prayer has begun. Connect to the Source of Life, while connecting with each other!
October is Pastor Appreciation Month. Though Pastor John is appreciated every month, October is a reminder to express the gratitude in our hearts and honor the obedience to the call God placed on his life. Thank you, Pastor John, for all you do, and for your obedience to the call God has placed on your life! We pray the Lord would enlarge your territory, that His hand would always be with you and that He would keep you from harm.
On January 12, Dave Ramsey will be LIVE in Chicago with his brand-new event, Smart Money.
