Weekly Announcements: Week of July 19th
Please keep the students attending Impact Youth Camp, in Ohio in your prayers this week. They are focusing their studies, conversations and activities on Identity. Please pray their identity in Christ will be solidified, their relationships will strengthen and God will speak His words and will to them. They will be traveling home Friday. Please pray for protection and safety!
We need your good, reusable items! CCC is holding a church-wide garage sale this Saturday! Proceeds will go towards the Benevolence Fund, which is used to assist the practical needs of those in the community in need.
You can drop-off items at the Bethel Lutheran parking lot on Friday, beginning at 3pm.
If you are available to help on Friday with setup, or in any capacity Saturday (sales, providing food, cleanup), please text DeAnna Carlson at 815-488-6611.
If God has changed your life, share it with others by being water baptized. In following Christ’s example, being water baptized is a powerful part of publicly proclaiming that you are living a new life in relationship with Him. If you have any questions or wish to talk about baptism, please email info@christcommunityottawa.org or contact Don Maxon, Dan Hennenfent, John Nordstrom, Sr. or John Nordstrom, Jr. If you would like to make the decision to be baptized, please contact the church and let us know!
August 9th, immediately after service, we will make our way to the Maxon home, where we will baptize all those ready to exclaim, “I have decided!” We will have a family picnic following the baptism.
Our Fall Semester of Small Groups starts August 23rd! If you are interested in leading a Small Group, please contact Bob Pursley at carynandbob@gmail.com.
