Weekly Announcements: Week of July 26th
Tomorrow, some of our High School and College age students will be traveling to Birmingham, Alabama, to join 10,000 other students in a life-changing conference! One student attendee from last year stated, “Motion is more than just a conference. It is fuel for a lifelong, exciting journey with Jesus.”
Please join us in prayer for their safe travels, minds ready and hearts open for what the Lord has in store!
21 Days of Prayer begins this Sunday, August 2nd!
Why 21 days?
It takes 21 days to create a new habit.
Prayer is something God designed to be a part of our lives, everyday. God wants to be with you! Join us as we set aside time each day to be with God. Beginning Monday, August 3rd, we will gather in the Upper Room from 6am-7am. This will continue through the week, and on Saturday we will meet at 8am. Sundays, we will celebrate in prayer together at our 10am service.
Together, we faithfully seek God first, trusting in His power alone to create lasting impact in our lives, our church and our world.
Join us Wednesday, August 5th, at 7pm for our First Wednesday Gathering. During this time, we will experience worship, prayer and learn more about each other and the Spirit of God. It will be the best part of your week, and you will leave refreshed and ready to take on the rest of your month!
If God has changed your life, share it with others by being water baptized! In following Christ’s example, being water baptized is a powerful part of publicly proclaiming that you are living a new life in relationship with Him.
If you have any questions or wish to talk about baptism, please reply to this message, or contact Don Maxon, Dan Hennenfent, John Nordstrom, Sr. or John Nordstrom, Jr. If you have made the decision to be baptized, please contact the church and let us know!
August 9th, immediately after service, we will make our way to the Maxon home, where we will baptize all those ready to exclaim, “I have decided!” A family picnic follow the baptism.
Fall Semester of Small Groups will soon be here! The Semester start date is August 23rd.
This is a Call Out for Small Group Leaders!! We would love for you to lead a group that can be centered around a book study, Bible study, sermon discussion, prayer, worship, children or even a common interest.
If you want to lead and have not had the training to be a Small Group Leader, there are two dates for training:
Sunday, August 9th – 6 PM
Friday, August 14th – 6 PM
Both training sessions will be in the Lincoln Board Room and you only need to attend one to lead a group. Please email Bob Pursley to let him know that you plan to attend.
If you have had training and are ready to start a new group, please contact Bob Pursley with the specifics of your group.
Encounter
Encounter (7th grade-High School) is happening! Join the group at the Maxon home tomorrow night, at 7pm.
